Hello everyone, my name is Issaiah Coldren and I am very excited to be the Head Coach of this wonderful summer swim team!
If you were ever at the Kildare Farms pool and saw someone throwing a water polo ball around, that was probably me! I am 27 years old and new to the North Carolina area so I am looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know the families. I come from Reading, PA with a lifetime of swimming and water polo experience. I was part of the Lafayette College swimming & diving team all four years, with my senior year as a captain. On top of all the time I have spent in the water I have also spent a great deal of time on deck coaching. The numerous teams I have been a part of, as well as being the last of seven children, has allowed me the opportunity to understand that everyone goes through a different learning process. I plan to implement this information to help build an affinity to the sport and provide an inclusive space for all skill levels to stay active. Most importantly I look forward to having fun and enjoying our time in the pool. I hope everyone is as excited as I am for this season!
Ava started her swimming career right here at Kildaire Farms at eight years old. She swam for TAC Titans participating in state championship meets up until she was fifteen due to issues with her shoulders. Although Ava can no longer swim at the intensity she wishes too, she still shares a strong passion for the sport and is excited to be able to coach at the pool that sparked her passion for the sport. Ava will be graduating from Apex High School this May.
My name is Owen Ragsdale, and I couldn't be more excited to help out with the Killer Whales this summer! I recently graduated from Raleigh Charter High School, and will be attending UNC Chapel Hill in the fall where I plan to swim with the club team. I've been swimming competitively for the Marlins of Raleigh since I was 9, and have been competing for state championships with Raleigh Charter throughout High School. When I'm not swimming I enjoy riding my bike, lifting weights, and hanging out with friends.
Isabella goes to Raleigh Charter High School. She swam for Kildaire Farms for four years, swam for the TAC Titans for four years, and currently swims for the Raleigh Charter Swim Team. Isabella loves swimming, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. She looks forward to having lots of fun swimming and being a part of the Killer Whales again!
