New to Swimming
No problem, get to know the Jr. Whales Prep Team. A new program to help your swimmer master all of the strokes, be able to swim 25 yards unassisted, and get them ready to compete in meets. The Killer Whales Jr. Prep Team members are full members of the Killer Whales Swim Team. More information to come.
The Tarheel Swimming Association (TSA) was created in 1971 to “promote and encourage competitive and recreational summer swimming for Wake County youth.” Today it consists of 88 swim clubs in the greater Wake County area. Clubs are placed in either the North or South division based upon geographic location within Wake County. The leagues and scheduling committee strives to group teams into further subdivisions with other teams of equal strength by using dual meet data from the previous season. Three meets will be within in your assigned division and the other three meets will be out of your division. Swim meets follow TSA rules for swimming meet management, competition and judging.
Be an informed parent and swimmer by frequently reviewing the TSA website and the TSA blog spot Tuesday Night Lights, which provides valuable information such as clinic schedules, other needs of teams, year round swim team activities and more.
