We have a lot coming up this final week of swim team! Please read to the end!

As another fantastic swim season comes to a close, it is time to recognize the incredible coaches who have dedicated so much of their time, energy, and talent to our swimmers.

Our coaches have spent countless hours teaching skills, encouraging perseverance, celebrating accomplishments, and helping every swimmer grow in confidence. Their commitment has made a lasting impact on our children and our swim team community.

To show our appreciation, we are collecting voluntary monetary donations that will be presented to our coaching staff as an end-of-season thank-you gift.

If you would like to contribute, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Every contribution helps us recognize the hard work and dedication our coaches have shown throughout the season.

How to Donate:

• Please send your contribution via Venmo (parent volunteer Inez Grigore) or cash via Rachel or Lyra. .
• Donations will be accepted through Tuesday end of meet.

Thank you for helping us celebrate our amazing coaches who have made our season so great. Your generosity is a wonderful way to thank them for the countless hours they've invested in our swimmers and the positive difference they've made in each of our families lives.

Monday will be our final practice. 

Tuesday will be our final meet (home). We'll be hosting The Reserve. This will also be our traditional "Senior Swim". We honor our senior swimmers. We will do the senior recognition at 5:50pm and then go right into the National Anthem / Swim meet at 6pm.

Meet Location: Kildaire Farms Pool
📅 Date: Tuesday July 14th
🕓 Arrival: Please arrive by 4:30 pm

• Killer Whales Warmups: ~4:40 pm
• Park Village Warmups: ~5:10 pm

📋 Check In:

• Swimmers: Please check in at the front gate and head to your Kid Pusher and AGE GROUP AREA right away! Look for the age group signs on in the grassy area on the shallow side.
• Volunteers: Check in at the Volunteer table near the snack bar as soon as you arrive.

🚗 Parking:

• Please leave the Pool parking lot for The Reserve families.
• Park in the Clubhouse lot or near the tennis courts/Two Creeks Rd.
• Do not park in the cul-de-sac across from the pool (the neighbors will thank you).

🏖️ Where to Sit

• Killer Whales Families: Right side of the pool (shallow side). Bring folding chairs! Please be good host and do NOT sit on the left side of the pool or behind the basketball area
• Reserve Families: Left side of the pool (slide & diving board side).
  Please be respectful of the space setup — we are proud to be great hosts!

✅ Stay in your age group area with your Kid Pusher!

✅ Concessions : Ms. Nikki will have Pizza, Hotdogs, Burgers, The Famous Kildaire Farms Walking Tacos...., and more! No need to cook. Cash & cards accepted.
✅ Meetings at 5:30 pm:

• Starter/Timer/Stroke & Turn: with Mr. Jeremy & Ms. Jenny
• Kid Pusher & Clerk of Course: with Mr. Dave & Ms. Tracy (meet by the snack bar)

✅ Heat Sheets: Posted Tuesday afternoon. Take a pic!

✅ Time Drops Live App: Download the app to follow your swimmer’s times (code will be announced).
✅ Special Programming:

• 🎽 Parent/Coach Relay (Weather Contingent)

After Breast Stroke is complete, we’ll have a Parent/Coach Relay with participation from both Killer Whales and Reserve parents/coaches.
👉 If YOU want to participate, please let me know when you check in with your swimmer so we can assign you to a lane! It’s always a highlight of the night!

🚫 Safety & Meet Pool Rules:

• The kiddie pool and shallow end are closed during the meet – no access for swimmers, siblings, or spectators
• The wooden bridge is for meet officials and timers only – no swimmers or parents, please
• No standing behind the blocks – this area is reserved for swimmers, timers, and Clerk of Course staff. There is ample room around the pool for viewing.
• No throwing of footballs, soccer balls or anything else - no throwing please

⚡ THUNDER BOOMERS PLAN — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY It’s summer — and it’s thunderstorm season. Here is how we handle weather interruptions:

• ☝️ The decision to pause or resume the meet will be made ONLY by the TSA Reps and the Pool Manager.
• ☝️ We will do EVERYTHING possible to avoid having to finish the meet on Wednesday night. A meet is not considered complete until all Main Events through Breast Stroke are finished.

🚨 IF WE GO INTO A THUNDER OR LIGHTNING DELAY:
DO NOT LEAVE THE POOL PARKING LOT until you receive an OFFICIAL EMAIL from us.
👉 We may need to bring swimmers back to the deck as soon as it is safe to resume racing and we often need to be fast to get the meet finished in a short time window.
👉 If parents take swimmers home during a delay, we lose the ability to finish the meet and forfeit points — this is not fair to the rest of the team.

✅ We understand this can be frustrating — please be patient.

✅ We will send updates as quickly as possible.

✅ Our #1 priority is SAFETY, but our goal is also to complete the meet that night if possible.

Summary: If a weather delay happens — stay put, check your email, and wait for further instructions from your TSA Reps and Pool Manager. DO NOT assume the meet is over unless you are officially told it is.

Friday- End of Season awards 6:30pm by the gazebo on the pool deck. Please bring your own folding/camping chairs for parents. Kids can sit on towels on the ground. We will have a few announcements, coaches will present their awards, and we will provide a sweet treat.
