Final Away Meet this Tuesday July 8th
Good Afternoon, Killer Whales!
Can you believe it?! We’re headed into our FINAL AWAY meet of the season — and it’s going to be a great one! We’ll be swimming under the lights at Bentwinds on Tuesday, July 8th, and we want to make sure our Killer Whales go out with a splash!
But first... 🛑 We have 22 undeclared swimmers. That’s right — 22 athletes who haven’t told us if they’re in or out! That makes it really hard for us to build relays and fill our heats, so let’s take care of it right now:

It takes a village, and this is your chance to wear that volunteer badge with pride this season!
We still need:
- 1 Kid Pusher for 9-10 Boys (bless their hearts 🐬)
- A few timers
- 1 Clerk of Course

📍 Meet Details – Bentwinds Swim Club
Address: 6544 Dornoch Place, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526
Important Parking Note:
Park in designated areas only — do not park on the side of the road with homes. Use the pool-side parking and the large lot near the pool.
Team Area: The “Peninsula” – to the right after you enter through the breezeway.
Bring tents and chairs – the team area is NOT shaded and their pool chairs will be put away. THEY DO NOT HAVE CHAIRS FOR US so bring a chair if you would like to sit.
🕒 Timeline
- 4:45 PM – Arrive and check-in
- 5:30 PM – Killer Whales warm-up
- 5:45 PM – Volunteer Meeting (by the mushroom pool 🐸)
- 6:00 PM – National Anthem & MEET START!
Note: The diving well and shallow end are off-limits all night! Please let your swimmers know in advance that they will NOT be allowed in the shallow end of the pool.

🍕 Concessions Galore!
Come hungry – they’re serving:
- Pizza (cheese & pepperoni)

- Watermelon, cookies, candy & drinks
- Food Trucks: Kona Ice & Donut NV 🍩🍧

🎉 Coaches Relay (If Time Permits)
Let us know if our brave coaches want to throw down in a 100-yard Medley Relay between breaststroke and butterfly. Always a fan favorite!
🏅 Ribbons & Results
- Heat winners get ribbons on deck right after their races.
- Main event ribbons will be distributed after the meet.
- Let’s make this final road trip one to remember! Loud cheers, fast swims, full hearts — and snacks for the win.
