It's Meet Night, Killer Whales Coozies, T-Shirts & Team Spirit

Happy Tuesday  Killer Whales Families!

Happy Meet Day! We’re halfway through an incredible season, and tonight’s meet is sure to be another exciting chapter in our summer swim story. Thank YOU for showing up, cheering loud, and making every meet a blast for our swimmers. Only three meets left (including tonight!), so let’s make each one count — and maybe even snag a personal best and a walking taco while we’re at it! 🌮🐬

🎉 Hot Off the Press... 50th Anniversary Coozies & T-Shirts!

You’ve been asking and they’re finally here — our 50th anniversary Kildaire Farms drink coozies have arrived! Be the cool parent at  Friday’s 4th of July bash. Get yours poolside tonight!

** Please note - TSA summer swim meets are alcohol free events - no alcoholic beverages  at the pool tonight or any swim team practice or meet **

Also: If you ordered a team tee-shirt and were waiting on backordered sizes, they’re in! 🎽 See Kyle Munn at the pool to pick yours up.

🐳 A Few KEY Reminders for Tonight’s Meet

Let’s keep things running smoothly and safely — please read!

  1. It’s HOT (but not brutal!)
Temps will be in the high 80s. Bring a couple of cold towels in your cooler to drape around your neck between events — it’s a game-changer!
  2. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
Water and Gatorade are your best friends tonight. Nikki is fully stocked on Gatorade. Remember: Soda = fun, but not hydration.
  3. Ears, Please!
Swimmers: make sure you clear your ears after every race. Trust us — urgent care visits for earaches are not how we want to spend the week!
  4. Parking Reminder
Please do NOT park in the pool lot. That’s reserved for our guests from Kitts Creek. Park in the clubhouse lot (details below). Other pools extend this courtesy to us — let’s return the favor!
  5. Stay Meet-Ready!
Super Meet Administrator - Jeremy has worked his magic to condense heats and relays so we can wrap up the meet efficiently (we’re aiming for an 8:45 PM finish!). That means:
    • Stay close to your kid pusher
    • Be ready to swim
    • Avoid disappearing into the snack line/restroom vortex 😅
  6. Tonight’s Competition is TIGHT!
Kitts Creek has a similar number of swimmers — this will come down to the relays! Let's bring the energy and cheer those teams to victory!

7.  Stuff Happens -  if you swimmer is going to be late or not make the meet at all - please please please text me or Jeremy Dott so we can  adjust the system.  It's all electronic so we can't just scratch thru it with a pencil anymore  and when we need to adjust relays and find move up swimmers it makes it super hard on our  admin team and our clerks and our kid pushers  .... you get the idea - use your texting thumbs and let us know....  Tammie - 704-507-4411 /  Jeremy 202-262-5317

We’re proud of every swimmer and grateful for every parent,  lifeguard , volunteer, and cheerleader who makes this team so special. Let’s have an amazing night at the pool — GO KILLER WHALES!
