Swim Meet at Bella Casa Tonight

Dear Kildaire Farms Swim Families,

We’re looking forward to tonight’s meet at Bella Casa, and we have a few important reminders and updates to help everything run smoothly:

☀️ It’s Going to Be HOT!

  • Please bring a pop-up canopy if you have one — and be generous in sharing shade with other families!
  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, and don’t forget sunscreen for you and your swimmers.

🚫 No Sharpie Writing on Backs

Bella Casa is a Sharpie-free zone, and we want to respect their pool rules. Please do not write swimmer info on their backs with Sharpies.

🅿️ Parking Is Limited

Bella Casa’s pool is small, parking is tight, and their HOA is… let’s just say, watchful. 😬
Please refer to the logistics email sent earlier this week for parking and access details.

💪 Volunteers Needed Urgently!

It takes a LOT of volunteers to run a meet, and we are still short on several critical positions.
Check Lyra’s earlier email and let her know if you can help. And please check in with her when you arrive so she knows who’s on deck.

✅ Swimmer Check-In

All swimmers MUST check in with Tammie as soon as you arrive.
We’ll warm up at 5:30 PM and the meet will start promptly at 6:00 PM.

Running late? Please text me Tammie  at 704-507-4411 ASAP so we don’t have to scramble to rearrange events. It creates extra work and tension with the other team.

⛔ Staging Is Outside the Fence

The Bella Casa deck area is small, so we’ll be staged outside the fence. It is MISSION CRITICAL that swimmers stay with their Kid Pusher.

We do not have the resources to go on search missions for missing swimmers — and missing your event makes it very difficult on our Clerks and team.

🏁 Parent-Coach Relay Challenge!

Bella Casa has challenged us to a Parent-Coach Relay after Breaststroke!
If you’re “in it to win it”, bring your suit and let me know when you arrive at the meet.

🚨 Relay Alerts!

Relays are super important — if your family needs to leave early, let Tammie know immediately so we can try to find a replacement and avoid losing points or disappointing the relay team.

⚡ THUNDER BOOMERS PLAN — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ⚡

It’s summer in North Carolina — which means pop-up storms are always possible.
If thunder or lightning occurs:

  1. Only TSA Reps and the Pool Manager will decide when to pause or resume the meet.
  2. Our goal is to complete the meet tonight, as long as we finish through Breaststroke.
  3. DO NOT LEAVE during a weather delay unless you receive an official email from us.

Why?
We often need to restart the meet quickly once it's safe. If swimmers leave, we may have to cancel and lose points — which is unfair to the rest of the team.

Please be patient, check your email, and wait for instructions. Your flexibility helps us finish strong and keep swimmers safe.

Thanks for being such a supportive and spirited group — see you at the pool tonight!
