The 2025 summer swim season is officially here — and it’s time for our FIRST MEET!

We are thrilled to be hosting The Reserve Stingrays this week at Kildaire Farms, and we can’t wait to cheer on our swimmers.

Please read this email carefully — it has everything you need to know for the meet and some exciting extras! 📸

🏊Meet Details

📍 Location: Kildaire Farms Pool
📅 Date: Tomorrow Tuesday June 10th
🕓 Arrival: Please arrive by 4:45 pm

• Killer Whales Warmups: ~4:50 pm
• Reserve Warmups: ~5:20 pm

📋 Check In:

• Swimmers: Please check in at the front gate and head to your Kid Pusher right away!
• Volunteers: Check in at the Volunteer table near the snack bar as soon as you arrive.

🚗 Parking:

• Please leave the Pool parking lot for The Reserve families.
• Park in the Clubhouse lot or near the tennis courts/Two Creeks Rd.
• Do not park in the cul-de-sac across from the pool (the neighbors will thank you).

🏖️ Where to Sit

• Killer Whales Families: Right side of the pool (shallow side). Bring folding chairs!  Please be good host and do NOT sit on the left side of the pool or behind the basketball area 
• Reserve Families: Left side of the pool (slide & diving board side).
  Please be respectful of the space setup — we are proud to be great hosts!

🐳 Meet Flow & Reminders

✅ Stay with your Kid Pusher! Goggles, swim caps, towels — check! Parents — sit nearby if possible to help your Kid Pusher.

✅ Concessions :   Ms. Nikki will have Pizza, Hotdogs, Burgers, The Famous Kildaire Farms  Walking Tacos that you have waited for all winter...., and more! No need to cook. Cash & cards accepted.

✅ Meetings at 5:40 pm:

• Starter/Timer/Stroke & Turn: with Mr. Jeremy & Ms. Jenny
• Kid Pusher & Clerk of Course: with Ms. Lyra & Ms. Tracy (meet by the snack bar)
• ✅ Heat Sheets: Posted Tuesday afternoon. Take a pic!
  ✅ Time Drops Live App: Download the app to follow your swimmer’s times (code will be announced).
  ✅ Special Programming:
• 🎽 Parent/Coach Relay (Weather Contingent)

After Breast Stroke is complete, we’ll have a Parent/Coach Relay with participation from both Killer Whales and Reserve Stingray parents/coaches.
👉 If YOU want to participate, please let me know when you check in with your swimmer so we can assign you to a lane! It’s always a highlight of the night!

🚫 The Kiddie Pool & Shallow End are closed during the meet. No swimmers, siblings, or friends allowed there.
🚫 No balls or games during the meet — this is a swim meet, let’s stay focused on cheering!

⚡ THUNDER BOOMERS PLAN — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

It’s summer — and it’s thunderstorm season. Here is how we handle weather interruptions:

☝️ The decision to pause or resume the meet will be made ONLY by the TSA Reps and the Pool Manager.
☝️ We will do EVERYTHING possible to avoid having to finish the meet on Wednesday night. A meet is not considered complete until all Main Events through Breast Stroke are finished.

🚨 IF WE GO INTO A THUNDER OR LIGHTNING DELAY:
DO NOT LEAVE THE POOL PARKING LOT until you receive an OFFICIAL EMAIL from us.
👉 We may need to bring swimmers back to the deck as soon as it is safe to resume racing and we often need to be fast to get the meet finished in a short time window.
👉 If parents take swimmers home during a delay, we lose the ability to finish the meet and forfeit points — this is not fair to the rest of the team.

✅ We understand this can be frustrating — please be patient.
✅ We will send updates as quickly as possible.
✅ Our #1 priority is SAFETY, but our goal is also to complete the meet that night if possible.

Summary: If a weather delay happens — stay put, check your email, and wait for further instructions from your TSA Reps and Pool Manager. DO NOT assume the meet is over unless you are officially told it is.

🎽 Team Suits Reminder!

If you still need a team suit:
Visit Kiefer Aquatics at 1231 Maynard Rd, Cary.
They have our team suits in stock, will help with fitting, and can add the commemorative 50th Anniversary logo for a small fee!

Please note - if you do not have a team suit it is not a crisis - a plain black suit or a suit that your swimmer feels comfortable in is appropriate.
