Monday Practice Canceled + Weather Policy
Subject: Monday Practice Canceled + Weather Policy Reminders ☀️🌧️⚡
Hi Swim Families,
Just a quick heads-up: ALL swim practices for tomorrow, Monday, May 27th, are canceled due to the cold weather. We want to keep our swimmers warm, safe, and excited to return once things heat back up!
Thank you so much to everyone who came out last week—we LOVED seeing all our swimmers in the water, trying new things, and already making progress. If this is the starting point, we can’t wait to see how awesome everyone will be by the end of the summer!
As we move further into the season, a friendly reminder: it is summer, and that means summer showers. At Kildaire Farms, the safety of our swimmers, coaches, pool staff, and parents is our top priority. We always strive to get swimmers in the water as much as possible, but sometimes Mother Nature has other plans.
Here’s what you need to know:
- On rainy days (or days with a chance of rain), please watch your email closely for updates.
- It may or may not be raining at the pool when it’s raining where you are—so hang tight for our communication.
- And while we deeply appreciate the impressive meteorology talents of our swim parents, practice cancellations are at the discretion of the pool manager based on real-time conditions at the pool.
You may see some practice groups canceled while others continue—our coaches and staff are typically at the pool well in advance and will do their best to make the call at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for each practice.
That said, sometimes weather surprises us. If thunder happens just as you're stepping out of the car—we get it. It happens! In those cases:
- Thunder = 30-minute delay after the last clap of thunder the staff hears.
- Lightning = 45-minute delay, and the pool deck must be cleared entirely for everyone’s safety.
We appreciate your flexibility, patience, and ongoing support as we work together to make this a safe and fun summer season!
See you at the pool soon (with sunscreen and an umbrella, just in case 😉)
