Kildaire Farms 2025 Swim Team
The Kildaire Farms Pool is looking PERFECT !
It has nice clean water - it has chairs/tables for the parents - it has diving boards & slides and all of the wonderful things that make it a happy place.
BUT..... sadly ..... there is something missing?? The Killer Whales are not in house - yet.
If your swimmers are not registered today is the day to head on over to www.kfswimteam.com and make it happen and then keep reading!
We NEED YOU TO REGISTER THIS WEEK - we need to order tee-shirts and the tee-shirt crystal ball is very foggy right now..... help us out please ?
Your pool staff and pool committee have been working very hard behind the scenes and we have some exciting things for 2025.
If you haven't met him yet... you will want to introduce yourself to our New Kildaire Farms Racquet & Swim Club General Manager Styrling Strother. Fun Fact - Styrling has a long history with Kildaire Farms & we will be seeing him a lot at the pool.
Things to Know:
1. Did you know this is the 50th Anniversary of our Swim Team ? You certainly wouldn't want to miss out on the 50th Anniversary. Special Merch & more details coming soon to celebrate this historical event.
2. The pool officially opens on May 17th
3. The First Swim Practice is on TUESDAY May 20th ( times on website)
4. The schedule for the summer is on the website - take a moment and put it on your calendar now so you can plan accordingly. We will have FOUR Home meets this year and two away meets
5. Parent Meeting & Volunteer Orientation will be on Tuesday May 20th - during each swim practice time so you can come while your swimmer is swimming or during one of the other practices. It takes a village to run a swim team so all parents need to volunteer. There are a variety of things you can do to help so talk to Lyra on Tuesday night and she will help you pick the perfect thing. Please choose the Orientation/ Volunteer info session of your choice. iefer
6. Team Swim Suits - Exciting News - The Killer Whales have New Team suits this year. Coach Julia is persistent. Take a trip over to our website and check them out - picture coming soon.. You will be able to order them at Keifer Aquatics on Maynard (formerly all American Swim) in a couple of weeks. The team there will help you with fitting the suit. They will have the SPECIAL 50th Anniversary Logo on the suits.
Kildaire Farms believes that ALL swimmers should enjoy and be comfortable at summer swim. We want everyone to be at home. Swimmers do not need to wear their team suits to practices - whatever practice suit you like is fine. If your swimmer isn't comfortable in the suit for meets - a plain black suit is always appropriate.
7. Parent, Friends & Family - support your swimmer merchandise will be available on the website soon. We will send an email when "the store" is open.
NEED HELP PLEASE LIST
1. Junior Coaches - We cannot run our Junior Whales program without our incredible Team of Junior Coaches. If you have a mature 12 year old or 13 & up teens that would like to help with the Junior Whales we would love to have them. This is a position of responsibility so we need - mature - ready to work teens to help out. You will get some great experience and a sense of purpose + a special tee-shirt. Please reach out to Coach Julia if you are interested.
2. CARY CITY MEET The Cary City meet will be on July the 12th at Cary City Club this year. KIldaire Farms has traditionally participated in this meet. It would be very sad not to have our swimmers swim at the Cary City meet in our 50th Anniversary year. BUT - we need a swimmer/parent commitment to do this meet. Kildaire Farms will cover the fees but we need a true commitment and we will need help. It's a super fun time with tents / decorations / music/ swag/ snacks/ trophies/ribbons/ tee shirts & lots of competitive fun - oh my!
There is a few steps to get there but we have an rsvp - please take time to do this:

When the page open click View All
