I know it's hard to think past the weekend but...... we will have a swim meet  this  Wednesday - yes it's in 3 days - yes I do know that July the 5th is the day after July the 4th.   

So whilst you are lounging around the pool today if you could please help by doing 3 simple things it would be grand.

1. Declare your swimmers & volunteer for the meet on Wednesday -  we STILL have undeclared swimmers and we are still missing  6 volunteers that are crucial to running the meet.    www.kfswimteam.com  

2.   Read my email about Cary City Meet and declare your swimmers TODAY - Don't miss this meet -it is super fun and the kids love it.  Yes ... I know it will be hot and yes.... I know you don't want to get up early but YES I do know it will be fun and the kids will have a blast seeing their friends from other teams.

3.  Read the information below about the meet on Tuesday so you are prepared.

Brighton Forest

The pool is located at  2625 Brighton Forest Drive, Apex, NC 27539   (The pool is about 8 miles from KF and takes about 20-25 minutes)

The pool is 25 yards, 6 lanes with starting blocks and lights.

Parking: They have VERY limited parking and VERY narrow streets. We highly encourage carpooling as much as possible . Limited parking will be available in the pool parking lot, dirt/grass lot next to the pool parking lot, around the outer perimeter of the traffic circle on Brighton Forest and then on the streets off of the traffic circle. Please be respectful of folks' lawns and stay off their grass, but park as close to the edge of the road as possible and only park on the right side of the street. From their TSA rep:   (Parking during swim meets is our neighborhood’s biggest concern with swim team regarding folks accidentally parking on neighbor’s grass during swim meets, so please encourage your team to help us remain in good standing with our neighborhood.) We will have volunteers helping to direct parking. 

Set-up on the Deck: We will be on the Right Side of the deck as you enter the pool near the Slide. The deck is not huge. Feel free to bring chairs as space permits. No tailgate tents/canopies on the pool deck. 

Concessions:  pizza, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, chips, candy, soda and water for sale. Cash only. 

Timing: 

 Time Drops timing system and will have 2 timers/lane. We will have 1 timer from each team in each lane.

We will have an Order of Finish Judge to record 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in case there is a system failure so points can be awarded correctly.  . 

Ribbons: They will print ribbon labels after the meet and will get these delivered to us a couple days after the meet. 

Fun Relay  Brighton Forest  would like to do a Fun 100 yd Free relay race. Coaches/ Parents. We will swim this race after Back, before Breast so the 6U's are still there to see the fun. Please  know the No Running Start rule is also in place for this relay. If you would like to participate please sign up with me on Tuesday evening at the pool after you check in with your swimmers.

Kid Catchers: please make sure you  remain behind the rope for the 6U Main Event.

Brighton Forest Warm-ups: 5:00-5:25 

Kildaire Farms Warm-ups: 5:30-5:55

Volunteers/Timers meeting: 5:40 near the breezeway 

Meet start: 6:00

Please remember to text me or Jeremy if you have a problem the night of the meet.  I mostly do not see emails after about 4pm.

BONUS -   please please please do not leave the meet before it is over without checking in with me / Nikki / Jeremy -   Many times we are so close that it comes down to those relays to win or lose the race.

we often need swim-up swimmers for the relays and sometimes it just comes down to us having and 6 year old swim with an older age group because we just need to swim the event legally  and then we get those points.   The kids love when they get to swim up with the older age groups but they can't swim if they are not there.
