June 14 swim meet info you need to know - please read

Things to know for the meet tonight.

1. It is going to be HOT - bring water bottles - we will have ice water in a cooler for refilling.

2. Bring a hand towel or cooling towel that you can get wet and put around your neck.  We will have cold water for dunking.  (NOT For the kids to play in)

3. Have patience and a positive attitude - stay in the shade.

4. We will have concessions -  pizza - hot dogs - burgers and the famous Kildaire Farms Walking Taco's.   Credit cards and cash will be accepted

5. As  courtesy to our guests -  please do NOT park in the pool parking lot. .   Please park at the top of the hill ( near two creeks) at the tennis courts or at the very far end of the clubhouse parking lot.  Please save spaces near the pool for our guests.

6. Please try to arrive between 4:45 - 5pm.   We will start warm up's at 5pm.  Brighton Forest will warm up at 5:30

7. The Meet will start at 6pm

8.  Swimmers MUST check in with me at the front gate.  It's too hot and we have too many swimmers for me to chase you down - smile.

9. Volunteers MUST check in with Lyra in front of the snack bar.  It's too hot and we have too many swimmers for Lyra to chase you down - smile.

10. If we have a thunder break or a lightening break -  DO NOT leave the area until you receive an email from me or Jeremy about how we will handle the rest of the meet.     The  TSA reps will confer and make a decision on how we end the meet.   We have several choices and we will need everyone to pay attention and understand the plan.   In the past we have had folks jump in their cars and leave at the first rain drop and that has cost us the meet.   Please don't let the other swimmers down.

11.  This is the biggest team we will swim this season so please have patience and give the pool staff - coaches and volunteers many thank you's.   We can all sweat this out together and do remember that just a couple of weeks ago we all complained about how cold it was....

Bring your cheering voice and cheer on the swimmers.   Nothing makes it more worthwhile than hearing your family and team mates cheering for you !!
